Pacific Services Group (PSG) is a leading provider of electrical, data and communications services in a broad range of sectors including public infrastructure, defence, mining, rail, industrial, manufacturing, commercial and marine. Its clients include government and some of Australia’s largest companies. PSG has highly evolved quality assurance and safety systems and is a leader in ecologically sustainable development.
Wolseley Private Equity made an initial investment in Pacific Services Group in January 2006. The group has grown organically and through the acquisition of seven leading electrical and communications services businesses in Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia and Queensland. Today PSG employs more than 1000 electricians, has an annual turnover in excess of $300 million, and has a consolidated IT platform.
Wolseley has invested in PSG alongside the owners of each of the businesses and PSG senior management. This has been vital for the successful retention of the skills, experience and relationships built up over many years by each of the respective business owners.
David Lee (CEO) has spent thirty years in construction contracting and services businesses. Prior to joining PSG in March 2009, David was Chief Executive of Norfolk Electrical and Communications. David is now continuing to drive the growth of the PSG platform having taken over from Peter Williams who founded Elecraft in 1976 and grew it into one of the largest and most successful electrical services firms in Victoria. Peter is now a Non Executive Director and continues to be actively involved in PSG’s success.
